My introduction

I am Azita Javadi,

married and mother of two children. Of course, they were both breastfed! Originally, I am a midwife. During my work as a midwife during the maternity period with families where breastfeeding was not going well, I wanted to be able to help/guide them better. But unfortunately that was not always possible. That is why I followed the training to become a lactation consultant at Baby & Borst in Almere in 2012. Since then, in addition to my midwifery work, I also enjoy working as a lactation consultant IBCLC at the BovenIJ Hospital. One of my tasks is to guide mothers with breastfeeding problems in the maternity ward.

In addition to my work in the hospital, I am an independent lactation consultant IBCLC. For information about a consultation, see consultations.

Lactation consultants with the letters IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) behind their name are professionally trained breastfeeding specialists. The training is provided by the Baby&Borst training center in Almere. The training is concluded with an international exam. Passing that exam gives the right to use the title IBCLC.
